The Federal District Court for the Southern District of CA has permanently enjoined the State of California from enforcing its confiscatory "Large Capacity Magazine" ban. The decision is Duncan v. Becerra, a lawsuit brought by the NRA and California Rifle & Pistol Association. It is detailed by David Kopel in Reason Magazine here:
This is, of course, only a District Court decision, and the State of California will not spare any expense of its taxpayers' dollars to appeal this decision. However, the court was quite thorough in its reasoning, which should stand up under any objective scrutiny.
We hope the logic spreads to Massachusetts, New Jersey, and similar, benighted states.
